So after my week away in Norway, I am back in London, and also have started the new term at university, although i was only back one day this week, it has been a busy one. Having a meeting with my tutors in the morning on Wednesday over looking my work form the first time and basically talking about how i felt the first term went, i felt happy of the response and attitude i got of my tutors and which made me more determined this term to show how capable i am.
After this meeting it was followed by a new module Fashion Film, which i am very excited to embrace and learn about, and again learning to put clips together and possibly making my own short film. In which i felt everyone else in my group had the same vibe.
Lastly, we went up the day, with another new module, the Topman brief, where in my course there are 3 different groups, and each group must put design, make garments and put together a fashion show, which should include and look book and a short film, in this class we all separated ourselves into roles that we would like to play out through this project. At having experience in PR, i felt it was right and fitting for myself to do it again, as to me i felt it was the strongest thing i could bring to the table. After this we worked with our teams and set out a timetable or list of things we needed to be accomplished for the show.
We then caught up on the following day to go over what we had decided the day prior to this meeting and just made sure everyone knew what we were doing. For the rest of the week i have just been travelling around London, just shopping and i know i shouldn't be, but i couldn't help myself. But i cant wait to start another new module on Monday and start to be back into a routine!

So on Friday, me and Nina woke up pretty early to head off for Sweden to go to a shopping mall which is what she said was her and her best friends stopping ground. We travelled for about half an hour to the Swedish and Norwegian borderline, where Nina's father pulled over and we got out to see it, it was the first border i had visited and i expected there to be security everywhere, but there wasn't. Norway and Sweden seem to be very close as two nations and literally all there was, was speed bumps across to the following country.
Anyways as we got out the car their was a huge statue and a little bridge to which Nina's father told me was the worlds smallest bridge over a border, to which i was surprised to hear but yet totally could understand as it was so random and so small. But with the flags up and not moving due to no wind, i felt so at ease and so involved with the history and the fact that i was a child and pretended to walk from Norway to Sweden or jumping left to right saying i was either in Norway or Sweden.
Heading back to the car we drove like 5 minutes to the shopping mall and looked around and went to the pharmacy due to Nina and her family all having the flu, and we when in a few cloth shops and Nina took me to her favourite candy store, well this candy store was the biggest i have ever seen and i spent almost 5 pounds on sweets to what Nina said was a big bag.
Back in the car again we head to a city that i can't spell or pronounce so I am going to get in trouble with Nina and will end updating this blog post with the name, and we got dropped off at Nina's old work place and cute little cafe up on a hill, we went in and had a bit to eat and just chilling whilst chatting, afterwards we went into a boutique opposite the cafe. So Nina could chat to a lady before she headed back home and we ended up talking about how different Oslo was to London and talking a lot about England and the woman loves it over here.
Afterwards we headed back down to another of Nina's hanging out place another shopping mall and i ended up buying some sunglasses from Jack&Jones and then heading to the hospital to get a lift back to Nina's with her mum. We ended up having Swedish meatballs and spaghetti for dinner, my choice, and ended up watching a movie then started packing to start are journey home.
Day 6 - We wake up pretty early and the snow storm has started to hit, we ended are drive to Oslo Airport and check in our luggage and our goodbyes to Nina's parents. After grabbing a bit to eat and facetiming my family we go to our desk where we need to board the plane and i get a text from Norwegian Air saying our flights has been delayed by this time etc, and followed by another 3 texts with more delay times of when we were flying, so once checked on and i think yes I'm finally flying I'm on the bus to get to my plane and we stop, apparently there is no available stairs to get the people who have just landed off the plane and no way of us getting on the plane so we stay on this coach outside the plane for about 40 minutes and finally some stairs arrive and we get on the plane etc etc, and then we are told we will be delayed a little longer due to our baggage not being loaded on board, at this time i have given up and ended up sleeping. But the crew was nice enough and i ended up purchasing a ham and cheese toasty and a hot chocolate and the rest is history.
Hope you liked these blog posts on my Norwegian adventure. Hopefully ill do some more travelling this year and blog them!

For the past 2 days, i have spent relaxing and having some down time with my best friend, whilst watching movies, doing some university work and literally learning Norwegian history from Nina's Father. Whilst then realising how in the realising how in the middle of nowhere i truly was looking over the forest in Nina's balcony over the morning sky.
Day 1 - I had a late start due to me sleeping for more than 12+ hours, i must of been extremely tired, to the lack of sleep i have accumulated over the last 3 days. We woke up surrounded by fresh snow, and Nina was determined to show me the proprieties she had one her land, two extra cabins and a lot of other buildings surrounded her beautiful home. Nina kept laughing at my comparisons of her home to Narnia and Twilight, but in my mine it made sense and looked exactly the same to the films, its the only way what i was seeing was to natural compare it to the movies.
After this we went inside and made some breakfast and then watched I'm sure Keeping Up With The Kardashians, E! News, well basically the whole day schedule of the E! Network. When Nina's parents had come back, her mother made us all a homemade pizza it was so nice, I'm not even saying it to be nice but it was so nice! After this me and Nina went into the movie room and ended up watching Divergent, Maleficent and Olympus has Fallen. To which we then went off to bed for the evening.
Day 2 - Both me and Nina wake up at Midday and like the day before we ended up watching crap television and whilst doing University work with Nina as we have paired up for the new assignment for this term, whilst also trying to do Moodboards for the Topman Design projects. Again like the day before we waited till her parents arrived, and Nina cooked us dinner, afterwards Nina's parents told me about history of Norwegian Traditional dress due to me being a fashion student they thought it would be interesting for me to know whilst they also told me about the family history also. After this we ended up again in the movie room watching a movie called RED.

Day 2, I was woken up very early by Nina's litte nephew running towards me and Nina that had been sleeping on the couch. The morning was quick and by the time i had showered and got dressed, we were off into the fresh morning, which a fresh coat of snow had layed itself all over the street. Pushing a pushchair through the snow and on the ice seemed horrible for Nina, who herself has 20 years of experience with snow in Norway still managed to wear the most unpractical shoes and struggled whilst I wore my Dr Martens and was completely fine. You wonder why we had a pushchair with us it was because we had offered to take Nina's nephew to nursery that morning and then we headed off into Centeral Oslo.
After getting off the tube at the station beside the National Theatre, we headed to this litte cafe, Esperesso House, which i compared to a starbucks meets upper class cafe, and we sat down with some breakfast, I had a cheese, bacon and pesto sandwich and a pepsi max. Whilst Nina had flavoured water and cheese and chicken bagel. After having a rest and people watching from the long stretched window, we left the cafe and walked towards the stores to do a bit of shopping.
The weather in Olso, wasnt the greatest and seemed to rain constantly throughout the day, this didnt affect me and Nina as we carried walking through different stores so I could understand the Norwegian style and what sort of clothing they sold. We started off at a shopping centre called Paleet, in which was more focused to the high classed citizens of Oslo, we went into one store i was obsessed with the interior of, it was so urban and the mirrors had excuses you to buy clothes. They also had varied magazine cut outs, of the latest trends stuck upon the walls in collages, which i think was a great way to communicate to the customers what to wear this season.

Afterwards we ended up in this store called UTRO, which was a sort of a norwegian take on the Urban Outfitters in my opinion, I ended up picking up three purchases from the store, as there was a huge sale, 3 for 2 offer, 1 Cardigian, 1 T-shirt and 1 Jumper. We then looked around some more stores and then walked down to the Opera House again to look out upon Oslo and the view in daylight. In which I decided I wanted to take some OOTD's looks in the freezing cold whilst it is also raining, to which Nina was shocked that I was doing something so stupid.
After this me and Nina decided that we wanted to go to the top of the hill on the outskirts of Oslo as such to see if we could get an even higher view of Oslo, up by the skislope but once we got up there the weather had worsen and the fog was so thick that we could hardly see in front of us let alone see the whole of Oslo, so we then go back on the tube back to her sisters.
we got back and chilled out until about 630pm until Nina's father arrived to pick us up to take us to Nina's house in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the woods. After a quick snooze in the car and eating some crisps, and watching the downfall of snow on the roads, and the winding roads through the forest carried on for atleast an hour or more. We were greated by Nina's mother that had cooked us tea ready for us on the table ready for us to eat, After this Nina showed me around the house and showed me where i would be sleeping and then we went and watched a movie in the movie room. So after the last two days on barely any sleep I was exhausted and so was Nina so we decided to catch an early night....

So i finally made it to Norway, after my plane getting delayed for 5 different excuses i heard yesterday, and Gatwick departure lounge being exacuated due to the fire alarm, and then having to wait for my plane to be changed due to a fault in the plane i was suppose to be on and then sitting on the plane for them to then put the luggage on because they were left behind. It was a nightmare but totally worth it.
When i finally made it to Oslo, i had to board a atrain to the Centeral Station and thats when Nina met me, yes we did that embarressing thing when we first see one another and ran towards each other in a huge embrace!
After then getting myself a 24 hour tube card, we caught the tube to somewhere i still cant prenounce and whilst waiting to catch a bus, the snow started driftying down, Nina told me she was hoping it was going to snow for me when i got here but stopped a few days prior so it was like fate that it did start to snow, we then caught the bus to Nina's sisters apartment where we are staying for tonight, and we dropped of my luggage and go straight back out, we caught the bus and then the tube back into the heart of the Oslo and we decided to go to the Royal Palace first.
I didnt have an expection, to me every Royal Palace has a different feeling, the Norwegian one was no exception with its relaxed vibe to which then Nina stated that the Royal Family, are very down to earth and when out in the public eye they are full of their own personalities and not finding or taking themselves to seriously. When then carried walking down the Karl Johan, which is massive road which has Nina's favourite building the National Theatre, many shops and festive lights, with art work and statues shown around. The Oslo University and the skating rink, we carried walking down past all the high street shops and then we got down to Centeral Station.
We walked around the corner and headed towards the Royal Opera house whilst it continued to snow and we ended up walking to the top of it looking out other the bay and over the city landscape and spent possibly which felt over an hour just staring and listening to just silence.
After this we walked down and back to Centeral Station but stopped of at Egon to grab and bit to eat and then caught the tube and bus back to the apartment that now brings me to now, we are both here sitting watching sex and the city ready to wake up super early tomorrow morning to go exploring all day!
Hope you have all had a wonderful day!
